The technique is wonderful, but I feel that Shelest has created much better pieces using the same medium. I don't believe the artist used that medium to it's potential in this piece.
I do not know what the artist's inteneded vision of the artwork was, but in this artwork, I can't see anything that leads me to believe it is a cyber city at all. Because it is so dark a piece, if I had not read the title of the artwork, I wouldn't have had any idea as to what it was supposed to depict. I don't see any content that would cleary suggest that.
I believe the medium was the most noticable aspect of this piece, but the over all impact didn't impress me nearly as much as some of Shelest's other works, which I feel usually leave the viewer with a definite feeling or idea.
